Qatar—a country where laws silence voices, persecute the LGTBIQ+ community, and force women to depend on men for basic decisions—was chosen to host the World Cup.

On the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, APDHE (Spain’s Human Rights Association) responded with a powerful protest: KICKIN' RIGHTS CUP, a piece by artist Eugenio Ampudia that turns the World Cup ball into the Declaration itself, showing the world’s top players destroying it while the world watches in silence.

With limited resources, we turned to art as the most powerful tool to amplify our message. And the impact was immediate. Professionals from various fields joined in, thousands made the message their own, and together, we transformed this protest into a global outcry against the hypocrisy of the Qatar World Cup.
